Recovering My Username and Password
If you’re having trouble logging in to My Account, follow the steps below. Be sure to have your CareFirst member ID card on hand for reference.

If you forgot your username, follow the steps below:
STEP 1
Get Started
Go to carefirst.com/myaccount and click Forgot Username?


STEP 2
Find Your Account
Enter your member ID in the top box.
You can find your member ID on the front of your CareFirst member ID card.
If you don’t have your member ID card, you can put your employee ID number or full social security number on this line.
STEP 3
Confirm Your Identity
Enter your date of birth, your zip code and the last four digits of your social security number in the boxes provided. Click Continue.


STEP 4
Verify Your Account
We’ll send a six-digit code to your choice of mobile phone or email address. Once you receive it, enter the code in box and click Next.

STEP 5
Success!
Your username should be displayed on the following screen. To continue the log in process, click Back to Login. If we haven’t been able to find your account, please call technical support at 877-526-8390.

Go to carefirst.com/myaccount and click Forgot Password?


STEP 2
Confirm Your Account
Enter your username in the box provided. We’ll send you instructions on resetting your password. Choose how you’d like to receive these instructions—by text or email—and click the appropriate button.
STEP 3
Change Your Password
Enter your new password in the first box, then confirm your password in the second box. Click Continue.


STEP 4
Success!
You’ve reset your password. You’ll be returned to the login screen automatically.
