My Account Registration
To take full advantage of your CareFirst plan, you’ll need to register for My Account. My Account is your personalized member portal. It’s a convenient, secure site that gives you access to important information about your plan as well as tools to help you take better care of yourself.
To register for My Account, follow the steps below:
STEP 1
Get Started
Go to carefirst.com/register and click Register Now.
STEP 2
Find Your Plan
Select your plan type from the drop-down menu.
Tip: An individual plan is one that’s purchased by you, not the company for which you work. It doesn’t refer to the number of people covered by the plan.
Enter your member ID or social security number and date of birth in the boxes provided. Click Next.
STEP 3
Confirm Your Email
Enter and confirm your email address. Your mobile phone number is not required but it is recommended. When you’re finished, click Next.
STEP 4
Verify Your Account
A six-digit code will be sent to the email you provided. Once you receive it, enter the code in box and click Next.
STEP 5
Create a Username
Create your username. Be sure to review the requirements listed. Once you’ve found one that works for you, click Next.
STEP 6
Create a Password
Create your password. Please note the requirements listed. When you’re finished, click Next.
STEP 7
Read and Accept the Terms of Use
Review the terms of use. Check the box when you’re finished and click Next.
STEP 8
Read and Accept the E-Consent Notice
Review our E-Consent notice. Check the box when you’re finished and click Next.
STEP 9
Congratulations!
Your My Account registration is complete.
