Payment Options
For members who buy their medical health plans through us, we offer a variety of different payment options.
For members who bought their health plan through a public Exchange (e.g., Maryland Health Connection, DC Health Link or Healthcare.gov for Virginia residents), CareFirst will mail you a bill. Upon receipt of your first bill, and for all future bills, you can make a payment with any of the options detailed below.
Note: If you buy insurance through your employer, check with your Human Resources representative about your payment options.
- Online payment
- Set up recurring monthly payments with your checking account or credit/debit card
- Make a one-time payment with your checking account or credit/debit card
- View and pay your bill online 24 hours a day, seven days a week using a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer through My Account or the CareFirst mobile app
- Check the status of your payment and any outstanding balances
- Enroll in My Account to pay online
- Phone payment
- Make one-time payments using ACH bank account, or credit/debit cards. It's safe and secure, and your data is always protected.
- Save your payment information for fast, easy bill pay month after month. It's free with no late fees.
- Register with My Account to see your activity and manage your payment and billing options
- Check or money order payment
