Throughout the year, CareFirst has featured a wide range of programs and resources to assist associates in jumpstarting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Our associates’ well-being is a top priority for CareFirst and to help them proactively manage their health, associates have an opportunity to participate in an annual Health Risk Assessment and on-site wellness screenings. Associates will have the opportunity to earn additional FLEX credits by participating in this important program.
Employment Assistance Program:
From time to time virtually everyone encounters problems and conflicts which can feel overwhelming. Carebridge Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides our associates with confidential consultations to help you successfully manage life's challenges. EAP counselors will listen to your concerns, help identify the source of your problems, and work with you to bring about practical solutions as quickly as possible.
Associate Wellness Program:
Wellness Works at CareFirst encourages associates from all locations through personal empowerment to make healthy lifestyle choices by participating in corporate wide challenges, physical fitness classes and educational opportunities.
In order to encourage our associates to take on a more active lifestyle our CareFirst senior executives invite our associates to participate in "Wellness Wednesdays" by wearing active attire to work on that specific day of the week.
In recognition of the principles of body mechanics and human factors, CareFirst provides on-site ergonomic assessments and consulting along with ergonomically correct furniture.
