CareFirst Names Vice President of Patient-Centered Medical Home

Jennifer Baldwin Named Vice President of PCMH Regional Care Coordination

Baltimore, MD (January 18, 2012) - CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) has named Jennifer Baldwin as Vice President of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Regional Care Coordination.  In this position, Baldwin will oversee all Regional and Local Care Coordinators and their involvement with PCMH physician practices, panels and patients. Baldwin is a resident of Montgomery County, Md.

Baldwin joins CareFirst from Kaiser Health Plan where she was the Area Administrator for 13 primary and specialty care facilities in Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Prior to Kaiser Health Plan, Baldwin was Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive for Holy Cross Hospital where she managed the 388-bed community hospital.  She has also worked at Inova Fairfax Hospital where she held positions of Assistant Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive.

Baldwin received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Villanova University and Master’s degree in Public Administration from George Washington University.
